The main character in this graphic novel is a gamer named Anda.    Anda spends most of her free time playing a game called Coarsegold Online, where she can be a leader, a fighter, even a heroine.  But things become a lot more complicated when Anda befriends a gold farmer -- a poor Chinese kid whose avatar in the game illegally collects valuable objects and then sells them to players from developed countries with money to burn. This behavior is strictly against the rules in Coarsegold, but Anda soon comes to realize that questions of right and wrong are a lot less straightforward when a real person is a victim of substandard working conditions.  Anda meets Raymond, a Chinese teen who works as a gold farmer. She learns about his real life- how he works long days and has no health coverage. She encourages him to demand health care or strike, a choice that ends up having real-world ramifications.  I liked this story very much.  It had an important message, a call to action, and the artwork was beautiful.   This book will especially appeal to girls!!
